ISD are the first UK coldroom panel manufacturer to use a new foam insulation based around rapeseed oils rather than petrochemicals.
•Renewable resources.
•Insulating properties and strength are every bit as good as a conventional foam.
•The process uses only 10% of the energy required to produce petroleum-based polyols.
•Zero impact on the ozone layer.
•Low global warming potential (GWP).
A CFC- Free Polyurethane Foam with an Ozone Depletion Potential of Zero for Insulation Purposes. Manufactured from Environmentally Attractive Chemicals
Envirofoam is a low-density fire-retardant polyurethane foam for the insulation of discontinuous panels. It is for the production of cold room and general building panels as well as for refrigerated vehicles manufactured on a modular panel basis.
Envirofoam has been extensively evaluated in combination with a variety of commonly used substrates including steel, aluminium, polystyrene, ABS and glass-reinforced polyester. Adhesion and density distribution are excellent.
Envirofoam contains no CFC’s or HCFC’s, is based upon polyols derived from rapeseed oil, and is therefore ideal for applications where environmental issues are of utmost importance. It has an ozone depletion potential of zero and a global warming potential of ‘less than 5’
All ISD Coldstore Envirofoam panels have the following options on finishes.
FOODSAFE FINISH:
0.55mm thick galvanised steel substrate with 120 micron thick white foodsafe laminate finish.
GREY POLYESTER FINISH:
7 to 10 micron grey epoxy primer applied to a 0.55mm mild steel substrate, hot dipped galvanised with 275g/m2 or corrosion resistant zinc.
STAINLESS STEEL FINISH:
20 gauge 304 grade DPI dull polished stainless steel.
COLOURCOAT FINISH:
HP200 BS colour leather grain plastisol finish.
All ISD Coldstore Envirofoam panels have the following features.
CAMLOC’S:
Envirofoam panels are jointed using tongue and groove detail with ‘camloc’ fastener locking panels firmly against one another with a simple ‘allan key’ arrangement.
TOP PANEL REBATE:
All wall panels can be rebated at the top, to correspond with thickness of ceiling panel, this provides a well supported and strong panel joint.
BOTTOM PANEL REBATE:
On cold rooms with insulated floors a rebate is cut in the bottom of the panels, to the required size to act as 'thermal break'.
PANEL DIMENSIONS:
Panels can be made in varying widths from 200mm – 1200mm wide, this allows the cold room to have camloc’s at every joint, giving greater stability and minimum wastage.
CORNER PANELS:
Panels can be made specifically for corners ranging in size from 240mm – 1140mm wide complete with camloc’s, this gives the cold room greater stability & a professional finish.
INSULATED FLOOR PANELS:
Floor panels come complete with camloc’s and 12mm external grade plywood built in to the panel thickness, this can then have a variety of floor finishes applied. Additional plywood can be requested.
